It would have been wise for the Fed and bank regulators to regulate banks but they were working under a White House that detested regulations and a Fed that turned a blind eye to corrupt business practices. Then after it all collapsed they blamed the guy who was elected to clean it up. It's amazing how sick the gop has become. There isn't enough money in the world to fund the $1 trillion deficits Treasury is asking for. If we had a responsible Congress, instead of whores for Wall Street they'd raise taxes during the good times so they could cut them during the bad times. But find one smart republican...just one.One smart republican doesn't exist.
