Company Press Release Clayton Williams Energy Announces Seismic Interpretation Indicates Cotton Valley Pinnacle Reefs MIDLAND, Texas, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Clayton Williams Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: CWEI - news) today announced preliminary seismic interpretation results from its 3-D seismic survey covering approximately 55,000 net acres in Robertson County, Texas. The Company, after interpreting the first 1/3 of its initial 55,000-acre shoot, has identified 11 Cotton Valley Pinnacle Reef type anomalies and is optimistic that further anomalies will be found as interpretation continues. Exploratory drilling will be necessary to determine if the identified anomalies are gas bearing. The Company expects to drill its first evaluation well in early March. The Company has an additional 50,000 net acres to the south which is prospective for Cotton Valley Pinnacle Reefs but has not yet been surveyed using 3-D seismic.
