It is years away before project sanction. The question I have is what are E&E waiting for? They claim the business model is to bring a project to a stage (PFS or FS) and then sell it. Teck has recently bought out minority interests in the Zafranal and San Nicholas projects, so the current market value is known and Teck has finally accepted the RE numbers. If they don't close a deal soon then they are, IMO, making the same terrible decision they made by signing the JV. What if Teck decides after the desktop studies that the project doesn't make sense to develop at this time, or they decide to put their share on the market? I still think Schaft Creek will only be developed along with Galore to get the project economics where they need to be, and that timeline is also very uncertain.
