It's amusing how the 22 chromosome bozos Shoto, NC, and TheChief actually are still worked up at basic propaganda techniques, and think they're somehow slander.

Have they never tango'd with environmentalists and NIMBYers before? Since when do these groups give a bunch of potbellied old WASP bozos the benefit of the doubt?

The Exxon Valdez will always be the picture used when shipping oil by tankers comes up.

The Enbridge leak in Michigan will always be the picture used when pipelines are discussed

Lac Megantic will always be the picture when shipping oil by train is discussed.

Deepwater horizon will always be the picture when offshore rigs are discussed

Propaganda is a two way street, of course.

Fort Mac riches will always be the picture when resource extraction projects are proposed.

Happy go-lucky workers whistling like the 7 dwarves on the great mine jobs will always be the picture when mines are proposed

Overflowing public coffers and skyhigh property values are always the picture when needless projects are suggested

Responsible, seamless, fully rehabilitated mines with giant lakefront properties are always the picture when open pit mines are discussed.

Grinning youngsters on mine-sponsored soccer teams and donations to local hospitals and charities are always the picture when trying to convince locals that a project they never asked for or thought was necessary or desirable is worth their support.

Is any of this honest? Certainly not. Its dishonest and exagerated propaganda in a battle for hearts and minds.

Is it the slightest bit illegal or unexpected? Hell no. And these folks know it.

"Ford told me that their trucks were the best and that I should buy one, but it turns out that they may not be the best. THEY LIED AND DECIEVED ME AND IM GONNA SUE!"
