Sonny all I can say to you is that I have a fairly large No of Vivus shares and plan to hold on at least utilnext thursday's eps announcement, gg, at which point I will hear what the Co has to say and I will decide what to do.I am a trader and have bought and sold Vivus, Intel, you name it, off and on several times. I certainly would prefer a pill if there was a good one .The problem is though that I am 99 % certain that we are not going to have a 100% solution of ED with any pill in the market so far. Maybe 30-40%. The problem with the present Viagrs/Pfizer pill is that it's efficacy ss being overly exaggerated now , just like the efficacy of MUSE wa thought to be higher in the begining (67%) than it appears to be now, (30-40%).Remember MOST NEW therapies go through the following curves: A) strong UP move: this drug/surgery is fantastic! It cures even old age!!B) side effects/and less effectiveness than in original studies begin to appear:Curve takes a SHARP turn down;this is a DOG ;get rid of it;try somehting else.C) Curve slowly moves back up to a higher level than baseline but not as high as initially:furhter studies showed that in certain patients and certain circumstances the thing works. There are I htink that right now in the general euphoria are being overlooked so that when they start popping up later during marketing, I don't think it will replace Vivus; if approved at all. Here are the problems with the pill: - -Rumors of delayed approval.Have there been new side effects noted?Study in Nature last year described retinal macular degeneration ir rats.Patients have repored blue halos.-side effect interaction with other drugs etc.FDA recently stung by Redux and Rezulin ~may~ take harder look at new drugs. -In the British Journal of Urology all initial studies wre done in by and large non-impotent men. They had to **sit for 1-2 hours and be "visually stimulated" I supposed with a provocative video.Question is , does your soul-mate look/act like the gal in the video, and thus will you be sufficiently stimulated to get going? **had to wait 30-60 min to get going **Drug absorption with food and alcohol? -Subsequent studies had more normal patients ( called them psychogenic, ie Johhny is all right , it's the brain, a most powerful sexual organ, that needs a tune up ). Their definition of the criteria they used to define " organic ' (ie real ED ) patients they used WAS UNCLEAR and so far there is NOTHING PUBLISHED in this . So thatI think the pill is not the threat to Muse or the panacea for ED that it is touted to be. If approved the worst that iwll happen is that a)they will both be used for different types of ED, and/or b)they will be used together in combination therapy. The company certainly feels so and they have a 2nd factory opening up and a 3rd in Ireland to come. J&J and Astra two powerfull drug Cos have put their imprimatur on MUSE and willl market it. I can't reccommend however to anybody to buy any stock for obvious legal reasons, gg.Good luck with Vivus, Intel etc. So far, my hodings, Intel, Vivus, EMC and Nn are holding pretty good this AM, and even the Asia/US inverse market correlation I mentioned this AM in 207.183.153.93 is holding up, gg. Of course this may be all coincidental and so I would not put too much emphasis on this ! gg. Go with the fundamentals,gg. TA |
