Yes, the last couple of weeks have been vicious to the downside. Maybe this coming week will deliver a "bounce" from the oversold level, but who knows, volatility has really come back into the market.

RtS has just posted the weekend report from IH, here are some excerpts:
A dive lower after a positive open may have provided the shakeout to end the first leg lower.

THE reversal? Very well could be . . . for this leg of the selloff.

And again, if it did mark the end, it is the end for THIS leg, likely not the ultimate
bottom in this selling event.
So, if it follows this scenario there could be a "bounce" to the upside "soon", but likely to eventually have more to the downside. The chart shows the past 13 weeks action of the SOX.

Two big down weeks at the end of Nov starting with the Morgan Stanley's article on chip stocks. Then a nice recovery effort through Jan, but the last 2 weeks in Feb has been brutal. The SOX hit a low of 1204 on Friday before recovering to close at 1256.
