That's a good question. With all the evidence finally coming to light, he probably should go ahead with the sanctions enforcement action. Having said all that, do you remember what happened in Ukraine? The US basically fomented a soft coup in Ukraine and the Obama Admin and CIA meddled like crazy in Ukraine. It caused a civil war, which killed thousands of people. Do you think any of this Russian meddling in the US may be payback for our meddling?
Look, Russia meddles and so do we. I'm glad we are bringing it all to light and hopefully that will lead to concrete action to make our elections more secure and the people more aware, so they are less gullible. However, I also wish that the US would stop all of our overseas shenanigans, which ultimately cost us trillions of dollars in the warfare and the military industrial complex, and I wish we'd start focusing more on our economy and doing good things for the American people. The less we get ourselves entangled in foreign affairs and the less we foment wars overseas, the better off we'll be. Hell, in my lifetime, we've meddled so damned much overseas and it has always come back to bite us. Think of Iran. We overthrew a Democratically elected President and propped up the Shah, who was a brutal dictator, and then the Iranians revolted and installed the Khomeni and the Iranians have been sponsoring terrorism against us ever since. That didn't work out so well. Every foreign action we take has an equal and opposite reaction against us, but our leaders are too stupid to figure that out. |
