Indictments show Mueller is a joke
Don Surber by Don Surber

Special prosecutor Robert Mueller's decision today to indict 13 Russians for -- as NBC put it -- "election meddling" has to be a joke.

As Peggy Lee sang, " Is That All There Is?"

The Mueller investigation was a partisan fishing expedition that exposed the true corruption in government. Mueller hired from the FBI people who tried to meddle in the last election by stopping Trump.

In this investigation, President Trump gave the swamp critters all the rope they wanted, and watched them hang themselves.

The indictments are a joke. I question their legality.

But first, the reaction from the man who appointed Mueller as special counsel.

"Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, said at a press conference in Washington: 'There is no allegation in this indictment that any American had any knowledge.' Rosenstein added that the charges did not mean the Russian activity had an effect on the outcome of the election," the Guardian wrote.

Hahaha.

The Mueller Meddling Theory is that 13 Russians spent a few thousand dollars on Facebook ads and trolled on Twitter, and defeated a billion-dollar political campaign.

If true, we should thank Vladimir Putin for preventing the presidency from falling upon a woman who was so incompetent that she could not defeat a rookie candidate even though she spent twice as much money as he did.

If such a woman were president, North Korea would have bombed Hawaii, the Islamic State would have joined the United Nations, and the economy would have tanked.

But of course the indictments show the whole premise of this investigation is one big fat lie. Where is the Russian Dossier, which was why Mueller was appointed?

Where are the urinating hookers named in that dossier?

Chef Boy-R-Mueller just served up a $50 Million Nothing Burger to the American people.

Mike Bloomberg's news service reported as "news" the Democratic Party narrative, under the headline, "Mueller Still Investigating Possible Collusion, Source Says."

Really?

I read that headline and thought I heard Steve Perry singing "Don't Stop Believin'" at a San Francisco Giants game. The video.

"Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his prosecutors haven’t concluded their investigation into whether President Donald Trump or any of his associates helped Russia interfere in the 2016 election, according to a person with knowledge of the probe," Bloomberg News said.

"Friday’s indictment of a St. Petersburg-based troll farm and 13 Russian nationals should be seen as a limited slice of a comprehensive investigation, the person said. Mueller’s work is expected to continue for months and also includes examining potential obstruction of justice by Trump, said the person, who requested anonymity to discuss an investigation that is largely confidential."

Unless the St. Petersburg mentioned is the one in Florida, I do not see how Mueller has jurisdiction.

Is he trying to meddle in Russian politics?

I can hear the interpreter for Putin telling Mueller, "You have no power here. Begone before somebody drops a house on you."

Meanwhile, the Daily Beast reported, "President Trump’s lawyer, John Dowd, told The Daily Beast on Friday that he and his client were pleased with the news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had brought indictments against 13 Russian nationals accused with interfering in the 2016 election."

The money quote from Dowd was "I think the special counsel found the culprits. I think he did a good job. I think he did a hell of a job."
