It is important to note that we kind of know the bounds of what localities can do based on the Heller decision. So, unless you can get 2/3 of states onboard there will be no outright ban other than particular types (i.e., the assault weapon is probably about it).

It took about 200 years and thousands of pages of documents for a conservative court to decide that the 2nd allows everyone to have a gun but with some exception. Now being a smart man and an accountant and reading the 2nd as it is written in plain English WTF does it say you have an individual right to a gun?
