Why does it only happen here?

And think about it.

Some kid gets an assault rifle and covets it, caresses it and thinks about the pleasure of using it, and after a while, like sex the urge to satisfy the desire of using it to actually kill something becomes overwhelming.

Like any hunter with a new gun, or bow.
