Around 90% of Americans believed there were WMDs in Iraq. I didn't. If I were president at the time I'd have ensured the UN inspectors have access to my best intelligence to prove I was right. But there wasn't any good intelligence. There was only baseless opinion.

Then when that baseless opinion was exposed republican voters didn't think it was necessary to leave the war. They put "support our troops" stickers on the SUVs and pretended their deaths didn't matter as long as they died to help republicans get elected.
