I did read it, but I shifted the topic, because I don't believe it was just a marketing campaign by a Russian businessman. That is a bit too convenient an excuse and sounds more like disinformation to me to distract from Russian meddling or to give a plausible excuse for it.

What you have given me is an anecdotal article. My pattern detecting brain reminds me that an anecdote is not a pattern. It is plausible, but not likely. Usually, the simplest answer is the correct answer, because it doesn't rely on a bunch of assumptions to make it true (i.e. Occam's Razor). Russia meddles in elections. The US meddles in elections. Russia and the US are enemies and like to meddle in each other's spheres of influence. These are hard truths. It's as simple as that.

I think the key is for Americans not to get too discombobulated by Russian meddling. Sure, we need to understand the impacts and remediate election security concerns. But we don't need to become unhinged into a McCarthyistic furor like the liberal left seems to be engaging in. That's hysterical behavior and doesn't do us long term good. Ultimately, we are far better off not letting things like this escalate into something far more impactful, like a shooting war with a nuclear superpower.
