Actually, I've never said that about the people who joined the Nazi party in Germany. At a certain point, you could have been imprisoned and quite possibly killed if you did not join. In this country, at this time, you aren't under any threat for not signing up to support Scrotus. No one is going to throw you in a concentration camp if you fail to salute him. The difference is very real. Our republicans are signing up, without coercion, to support evil. It's much harder to excuse that. Though you wouldn't want the job of winnowing out the people who joined the Nazi party out of fear from the ones who did it out of bigotry and fatuousness and love of the Fatherland. Because after a party makes a turn down holocaust lane, no one wants to own up to supporting the xenophobic fascist killers. That's why there are so many "former" members of the resistance in France- way more than there ever really were.

Your posts don't read like you think this is a truism- that's why Wharf has issues with your posts, I think- though I could be wrong. He'll pipe up if I got that wrong, I hope:
"That not every Republican is bad I would consider a truism not needing mention. "

You might want to put that as a tagline on your posts- since I do not think anyone would understand that you believe that without that sentence.
