"What the graphs in his article show is that the price of certain kinds of memory chips is going down. That can mean either it costs less to make them, or demand is dropping in the face of constant or increasing supply, or both."

The reality is that the five quarters in which the prices were going UP is the aberration, not that they have declined over the past two quarters. That's normal in this business and has been for at least 20 years.
