Issues have inflection points. They keep popping up and getting knocked down by the Defenders of the Faith. The Conventional Wisdom pontificates how Americans are just not ready to change. Or even that only a minority is interested. Polls show no traction. And then something, usually seemingly trivial happens and then quickly things are different. We saw that with tobacco. The industry threw gobs of money at it. There were pitched battle fought and slowly the number of smokers dwindled. Then, one day things pretty abruptly changed. Look at gay marriage. It looks like legalization of marijuana is almost there. And it very well may be Sessions who pushes the ball over the line.

Is gun control there yet? No way of knowing. The NRA is pretty adept at dodging that particular bullet.

So to speak.
