I heard a guy from a rural Arkansas school today talking about the fact the administration offices were secured against unwanted access, while anyone could walk in the front door unchallenged and go to the classrooms. That is not an unusual arrangement, from what I have been told. Do you think some further analysis and revision of the security situations in schools might make sense? I just on the radio news (haven't verified it anywhere) that police respondents in the murders last week went to the 2nd floor of the school because they could see the shooter on the 2nd floor on video. But the damned video was on a 20 minute delay and nobody told them. Here they are sending officers to the 2nd floor where there was no longer any shooting. This is basic stuff that it seems to me could be addressed, and at the very least, have awareness created.
