Teachers who have military or other relevant experience are better off being armed than unarmed in this situation. Even if that were the case, the probability of any teacher facing that situation is infinitesimal. The rest of the time, staff-millennia, they are carrying, at best, dead weight, maybe 15 lbs or so. You realize, of course, that the teacher would have to carry fire power at least equivalent to the potential threat. (On the flip side, they might be able to consider that their workout for the day and skip the gym to spend more time at home with their families. Don't ever say that I don't consider all the pros and cons. <g>) Oh, god. Trump's on the TV talking about the same thing. It is a credible idea. Wow. There's an endorsement. Trump saying something on TV.
