don't think that's the point.

It may not be the intent but it's a plausible result. The shooter, knowing to the school, heads straight for the classrooms with the teachers expected to be unarmed. Having some armed teachers may deter action against the school but it may also only deter action against some classrooms within the school.

People tend to focus only on the up-side of their proposals and not consider the various ways things might play out. Like with those who want to ban guns perhaps don't consider that someone out to get a school might just switch to bombs were guns unavailable. Out of the frying pan...
