I think the younger generation -- mid 30s to mid 40s -- wants the ban. It will not affect me in any way, and at some point it is reasonable for them to make these choices they have to live with. I see that as different from political motivation. It is their kids in school. If they want it, it is something I can give on. I don't think our generation can reasonably micromanage them forever. I still think it is a mistake, but maybe it is theirs to make. There are other subjects I wouldn't be as flexible on, but this one, I can accept it is time to back out and let them choose without my interference. If it is a mistake, they will know it in ten years.
