Do they show Red Dawn at rallies there? The original. I didn't see the remake. I only saw the original because I was over at someone's house and they had it on VCR. I had to bite my tongue during the post-showing discussion... "You know, this could really happen that way"... "No, no it couldn't. For one, our military is not so dumb as to not notice the Cubans and Soviets massing along the Mexican border with tanks, helicopters and armored vehicles. Even if they were, there are lots of military bases all along the southern US. Equipped to stop a Soviet incursion across Northern Europe. Easily mobile on our Interstate system and railways. Stopping them on more or less flat ground with few trees would have been orders of magnitude easier. And even if they couldn't do that, no military commander in their right mind would spend a lot of resources reducing and holding a small town on the Great Plains when all they needed to do is drive around it in on the way to the military base that was the actual target. That is just stupid, despite being a key "plot" point"... That would not have gone over well.
