My understanding is that they do NOT have computer trading systems in any very full sense of that term. From and to the NYSE floor there's still a LOT of communication by phone/voice between the floor trader and his or her home office. Average full completion time on a trade is still on the order of a minute with maybe 10 seconds being the best that would be managed without TSI's products. With TSI's products it's a small fraction of a second. Given the volumes and the volatility, this means a tremendous gain in productivity. I also believe TSI's products are appealing to large firms because they allow for more privacy in managing large orders.

Judging from the clients they've already signed up, it's clear they are not having any trouble getting in the door.(!)
