~~~o I would have been just a little happier with that post if LSI had been prominently featured! Sounds like Malone has this all mapped pretty well. I am especially pleased at the pains they have taken to insure future competition..

For Malone and other cable executives like Time Warner Inc.'s
Gerald Levin, the fragmentation is following the script they
wrote last year when they warned that no one company -- especially
Microsoft -- would be allowed to control the set-top boxes.

Although Microsoft has backed off lately, they have come across as awfully arrogant, and anti-competitive, in the operting system game. Microsoft is a national treasure, and I hope they do well for a long time. But I hope we keep them out of anti-trust territory also. <g>
