Irby, i have several different strategies that i use. As you can tell from my website i like to make sure i'm buying leaders. The way i'm assured of buying leaders (without doing much research) is to simply buy stocks that are breaking out in a depressed sector, thats why i have the cross-reference portion in my site so you can see how high the risk is in the sector that you are buying into. Obviously if you are following a stock and its trading at its highs although the sector is washing out, comon sense tells you its a leader. Other portfolios i dedicate to buying stocks that currenty re-testing their support levels on lower volume than when they previously established the support level.
