Gary: No doubt, the timing is bad if you consider the lack of a positive effect of a good earnings report in this market. However, a bad earnings report would be devastating (just ask holders of Adaptec). Negative news is magnified and positive news is now met with a tempered reaction. This week will be important for the overall market to begin to reverse these effects of the Asian crisis. Many earnings reports due. Good EPS reports from some of the tech leaders would do a lot to calm the market. I look forward to a good earnings report from PTIS, regardless of the reaction.
