You only say that, because he is following the script that you believe in. That is called bias. It is also anchoring on the first narrative that the MSM sold you. Mueller is not an honest man trying to bring criminals to justice. If he really was an honest man, he would be levying charges against some of the bad actors on the left of the spectrum; Lynch, Hillary, Strokz, Podesta, among many others. But they receive a get out of jail card. Why? This stinks and I'm unable to ignore it.
Just some background here, which you may already be aware of. Remember all the statistics I used to post on the Obama thread in the lead up to his election? I was convinced he was going to win, even when everyone else was not, because I was following the numbers and was doing my own analysis. You probably remember that. We were all excited by that prospect. More on my history...I made a practice of following the data in my line of work, before I retired. I was an expert statistician, what a lot of people call a Data Scientist and process improvement expert. Eventually, I became an executive at a fortune 100 tech company, leading very large teams doing this kind of thing. The data most often was a great assumption buster for us. It told us truths that the humans in the process could have sworn could not be true. Once, I found a $1.8 billion error in one companies ability to collect revenues over a multi-year period. When we corrected it, we brought in incremental revenues of over $250M over a 2 year period. It was a shockingly unbelievable that bad processes and bad business intelligence was leading to a significant revenue leakage like that.
I tell you this, because my job for 35 years was pattern recognition and using statistics to test my theories. What I am seeing now is a concerted effort to push a narrative. It is very obvious to me that whole hordes of people believe in that narrative, even though the evidence being disclosed to us is anything but conclusive. I can see why people want to believe it. Trump can be a pretty despicable character and he's so undignified, people are reaching for anything that will get him unelected. But this is wishful thinking. If Mueller hasn't come up with anything in a year of looking, then the odds are he has nothing, or nothing significant. I could absolutely be wrong, but in the time honored tradition of statistics and the American way, I will not pre-judge someone when there is not proof he is guilty. Innocent until proven guilty is how we should all see this issue. |
