Anyway, regardless, koan's assumption and logic flaw is that he says scientists are smart and they heavily lean Democrat, ergo Republicans are not smart. A = B and B = C, ergo D <> B? That logic is just complete fallacious.
Business executives heavily lean Republican, like you said.

But in the liberal playbook, business executives are greedy by definition, so they don't count.

Scientists are smart and altruistic, so we should always trust everything they say as gospel.

Because SCIENCE!
