Correct. I know next to nothing about guns. I keep trying to find the right term for this discussion. Have been using "military" weapons mostly. Dunno if that's a good choice or not.

I recognized that Tim was taking my post to mean something I did not intend, which is why I didn't spend time on his comment.

I don't see the point in getting into the details of models and features and wouldn't even if I had the background to discuss them intelligently. When you guys do, I just skip to the next post. The non-technical notion of whether or not military weapons belong in the hands of the public or not is the first decision point. Functional requirement precede technical requirements. Only then does it make sense to dicker over which products fall in which category.
