What you would do was not the thesis of my post. It was what trump did. He shot from the hip and it was stupid. The idea alone was stupid, but to say it was "good and easy to win " is double stupid. It will be a disaster. and--- One should not think in terms of "winning" a trade war, at least openly, but as putting in place good policy for both nations. My point is that trump is irresponsible.
