Chicago,

Randomized comments, (I didn't take notes)
Analyst said his firm projected 68c for the quarter and maybe down
by 2c (earnings came 3c low at 65c) and wasn't concerned but was
looking for guidance from MOT during tomorrows conference call.
His company issued a buy on MOT a couple of months ago and estimated
that MOT would have 11% growth in '98 and now it is anticipated to be
10%. Didn't think that his company would change their position/guidance unless the conference call changed their opinion of the stock.
Said last year was a reshuffling year for MOT business. Certain
sectors of MOT business were up like communications but semis
were hurt by Asian exposure, however European business looked strong
and looks good for '98.

Anyone else can add what I may have missed, but this was the jist
of the discussion.
