What is the reason for the color of Donald Trumps complexion?

Alicia Czechowski,

If you look at the very numerous close-up images, photos and video, you can see that Trump’s facial coloration changes continually. Anyone who has ever been on a movie set will see how continuous is the job of the make up artist(s).

[ So does his hair. Somedays white, some orange. ]

Years ago I was working on a minor set detail for a movie with Cameron Diaz, and I was struck at how often the make-up people, two of them, had to leap up at every pause during filming, to touch up her makeup. I was also struck by how different all the colors that were applied to her face, differed from her natural coloring, as well as the flattening effect of the make-up. They were literally painting a subjectively-interpreted portrait of Diaz right on top of her face. This was all done in an attempt to maintain a “natural” appearance.

Trump and all persons with a high profile in the public eye have a troop of “portrait painters” ever at work on their appearance, maintaining the look required for the role in which they are performing. The more vain the subject, the more determined he will be to have his make-up picture perfect. Unlike the movies, filming eventually comes to an end, and the make-up concept for the film’s character ends, also. However, preserving Donald Trump’s 71 year-old , jowly, sagging golden-boy facade is probably a 24/7 project for his cosmetic team.

Donald Trump has rosacea, along with small-scale bumps all over his face. Rosacea is common as people age, and the bumpy texture may well be clogged pores and/or a reaction to the heavy make-up he wears. His skin is daily subjected to wrinkle-reducers and skin-tighteners like magnesium aluminum silicate which are bad for the skin when used routinely. Orange skin-tone has been chosen to counteract the patchy purplish red color arising from his rosacea. Light reflective make-up containing pearl powder is used on the dark bags under his eyes and the resulting effect is his signature pale lavender under-eye poufs. Voila!

Ah, what price vanity.
