BB,

Some long term questions/ comments.

There appears to be some evidence that europe is taking up some of the slack created by asia. Would you be shocked to see amat earn 1.80 or more this year after all, and then see a significant pick up in momentum in the year after that, leading to a quarter of .75 by Oct. 99? Is this too high, too fast? I keep chewing over various numbers and don't want to be deluding myself. Numbers close to that could lead to a 1.00 q by Oct 2000, which may translate to a $100+ price. What is your outlook for 1999,2000,2001?

TIA

Gene
