To all: Blowout quarter? Yep a blowout alright. If you read this before checking the news release, you will need to take a deep breath if you have a long position on APM (as I do), and find someone to keep you from doing something too wild to celebrate if you are short. I can't paste the news here, but the numbers were a loss of $1.31 AFTER subtracting off the restructuring charges, plus a gloomy look for Q2 and Q3. Sales were off around 38% (so yes indeed, "more than 30%" as we had been warned). So the loss prediction of $.78 was only off by a mere factor of 2 ($1.67 BEFORE subtracting restructuring charges, or $39.7MM). Donald I.
