Re: BGS & ROC

If their plan is to pay off $125mln of debt out of FCF in 2018 and their dividend is around $125mln, I wonder if they would book 100% ROC. There is no set rule how their accounting group reports that and from what I could determine IRS rules for ROC can vary by company structure.

The key is to watch EBITDA and the growth of that number. UNFI reported good earnings. I need to drill down on their product portfolio and see how it matches up w/ BGS. I think BGS's new acquisition filled in some of the gaps.

United Natural Foods beats by $0.16, beats on revenue

United Natural Foods (NASDAQ: UNFI): Q2 EPS of $0.71 beats by $0.16.

Revenue of $2.53B (+10.5% Y/Y) beats by $80M.

UNFI's long term Debt to Net income is only 3.45x (below the Buffet rule of 4x). They pay no dividend.
