When republicans voted for a habitual liar and the media turned every lie into headline news it's obvious there aren't many serious journalists left. Is this new? No. How many journalists called Bush a liar after he lied about WMDs, or attacked the gop for lying about death panels or said republicans can't be trusted to balance the budget because they're not fiscal conservatives?

The media is owned by corporations and corporations exist to make a profit, not inform. This doesn't excuse the pure evil that we see in the entire gop. It explains why lying is prevalent within that party. Republicans know they can lie about anything and it'll be headline news. And they know republican voters are okay with lies.
