That's a wishy washy answer..... Back about 1972 a plane crashed in the Andes carrying the Uruguayan rugby team...they crash landed at 12,000 feet and resorted to cannibalism to survive.

Here's an interview that tells the story, .....I haven't read it but I have the original book...
