Trying to confirm with official link.. but Yahoo discussion board (contributor goes by the handle "P") that the Court just ordered Sinovel to pay the full damages, plus the fine.. Full text of his message follows:

Case: 3:13-cr-00084-jdp Document #: 481 Filed: 03/07/18 Page 1 of 2

The United State provides notice to the Court and to the defendant ( Sinovel) that it will request the Court to REQUIRE Sinovel to PAY the entire amount of restitution and fine upon sentencing. Further, should Sinovel appeal, the U. S. will ask the Court to direct Sinovel to DEPOSIT THE ENTIRE RESTITUTION AND FINE with the Clerk of Court pending outcome of the appeal.
…………………….
the total losses reflected in Government Exhibit is… $915,800,000------
Sinovel should begin ordering its financial affairs now so that IT CAN PAY THE ENTIRE RESTITUTION AND FINE ON JUNE 4, 2018 to either the victims……
IF TRUE, this is HUGE!!!

My lurking question is whether Tariffs being applied against China can be diverted to pay these fines?
