Here's what your looking for from the company's 10K.

Effective August 1, 1989 and lasting until the expiration of the licensed patents, the Company entered into an agreement for a nonexclusive worldwide license to certain patented laser technology with Patlex Corp., a patent holding company ("Patlex"). Under the terms of the agreement, the Company is required to pay royalties ranging from 0.25% to 5% of gross sales and leases of its lasers, as defined, based on total revenues earned. During 1995 and 1996, royalty fees totaled $64,000 and $226,000, respectively.

Cymer also has 20+ patents of its own.
