My 06 Explorer (Ranger frame.. real truck not like newer wimpy ones) is a tad younger but that small (4.6L) 8 hauled my travel trailer loaded to 7Klb and full load in car .. two kids.. two Blue Heelers, wife and plus 300lb on the roof LOL...like a charm across Canada and back through the US via Yosemite over Beartooth pass even.. NO sway bars required... It's a mini beast.. 400K kms.. and still bashing :)) I'm with you.. Changing the oil tomorrow LOL BTW.. we blew a trailer tire near dusk rolling into Yosemite.. A young man named (stereotypically) Cody stopped to help us (pull us out of the ditch so to speak) .. My son is adopted.. full Asian from China .. They got on famously... So yeah politics aside folks is folks .. and lots of good ones down there :))
