koan,
as I've pointed out multiple times, Communism is a politico-economic system. To enable the economics of Communism, you must have the political structure of communism in place. It's like trying to separate the heads from the tails on a coin. Without one, you don't have the other. I'm not sure why you can't understand that. Communism is different from Capitalism in that respect. Capitalism is a natural process that emerges from people interacting with each other in natural ways with or without government. Capitalist societies almost always create Democratic institutions to bolster and safeguard Capitalism, but governments are not necessary for Capitalism's enablement. Socialism and Communism are different from Capitalism in that they absolutely require a strong centralized government to enable their economic system, because it requires an enforced redistribution of goods, services, and capital from formerly free people to other people in the society based on arbitrary rules that the ruling elite create to enact their agenda.

Until you understand how Capitalism is an Economic system that can stand alone and Socialism and Communism are politico-economic systems, which cannot be enabled without the strong arm of government enforcement, you will never understand why historically Capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty and enabled more freedom for more people than any other system every created by humans. Socialism and Communism are fundamentally flawed, because they are not natural systems of human interaction. Capitalism is superior, because it is what free people do naturally when left alone by those who would enforce their will on other people.
