If Democrats were really interested in preventing mass shootings, they would:

1) push for mandatory involuntary commitments, even if temporary, of people who are a danger to themselves or others, and

2) push for reporting all involuntary commitments to NISC.

Instead you have NYC Mayor De Blasio disarming school guards. Clearly he is hoping for a school shooting so he can stand on the bodies and mount a national campaign.

It's similar to the carbon dioxide nonsense: If the people pretending to be concerned about CO2 in the atmosphere meant what they say, they'd have smaller personal carbon footprints and would be promoting nuclear power and natural gas and hydrogen. But they're against those things too. Ergo, they're insincere.
