At least for the next 3- 6 months
I realize IBM is doing a lot of good things and will be a good investment for the long haul!
My main emphasis is spotting the traps that that are set for the little guys
I have spent over a year playing the markets full time, thought I could make a living at it(after averaging 50 to 100% on my investments- part time), but just broke a little less than even
(Caught a lot of the Tech stock crash- just couldn't find bottom)
I had real time data, big screen TV, up to 12 real time charts in view at once and a portable quotrek to boot!
During this time I learned a lot, saw a lot of manipulation by the specialists, and learned that logic will really get you in a lot of trouble!
I am still learning, and am determined to take the little money I have left and turn it into a fortune!
Sorry if I seem a little synical but the big players really make all the money. When I see the sucker rallys, Hard drive in the down direction for those who shorted or sold call options, big moves in stock price after insider windows close, stocks moving down after big earnings annoouncments etc etc etc, I know that the market psycology, manipulation, option losses for the 85% are more of the driving forces than EPS calculations!
Pattern analysis of the "Big Boys" thru charts, public information, and historical patterns are my tools of choice.
Being a contrairian also helps, had I gone opposite my own logic I would have made a fortune!
Well I am putting some of my lessions to work, have doubled my money in the last 4 months and hope 98 will be a much better year!
Most of all I want to have fun!
This thread helps me do that!
