Deep thought for the day, inspired by this new video...

Do you get annoyed at people who think they are the smartest person in the room? You know, because you really are? I tell people the reason for this is because, just as all sorts of people excel at all sorts of sports in all sorts of ways, the same holds true for mental ability. In other words, we all possess some sort of mental ability to do something unique to us that just comes naturally, hence if someone lacks this ability, we think they must be intellectually inferior to us. Of course, they have a different inherent ability that others do not, and think that about others. And so on. I liken this to dunking a basketball. I'm sure if you ask a kid less than six feet tall how he can dunk a ball, his reply will be "I just can."
