Thomas White, that was mean. Do you really think SF in a position to make fun of others? What will you be doing now on the 25th? Just wait til next year when we have a real coach. The Boys will be back. And I never considered Deion a real Cowboy anyway, not like Troy, who lives down the road and went to my dentist so in a way is a good friend of mine.
This year the annual Superbowl Party is at our house. Last year with J and A's help, we made meatballs with grape jelly in the Feelings kitchen for my contribution. This year will be more demanding. SO girls, get those frilly aprons out. It's time for football food. I'm sure the men will say beer and chips would suffice, but we know that life is more than beer and that the reputation of a hostess hinges on oneupmanship. Do we have a kitchen here at DAR? Has anyone seen it? Wonder if I can find that post....

5 min left ---I found it...Jan 29, 1997! We've been together for so LONG!
<<Here we are in our lovely bright kitchen at 10 Feelings Drive. A good bottle of wine or two or..sit on our central island. Please help yourself! The men won't arrive for hours! I don a diaphanous (of course) apron so as not to mar my chic, but very feminine black minidress and take off my three inch heels. I grab two pounds of hamburger, toss in two eggs and some bread crumbs and garlic salt and tell Janice to start rolling meatballs while she drinks. Meanwhile, I mix 16 oz of chili sauce, a cup of grape jelly, 4 T of lemon juice in a skillet and heat it up. Alexa takes the perfectly round meatballs-J., you are such a perfectionist!-and tosses them from her chair into the skillet. The apron was a wise move. After picking up the ones that landed on the floor (trying threepointers from the living room was pretty hotdoggy, Alexa)I cover the mess and simmer 45 min. while we open the next bottle of wine. The success of this dish rides on the quality of the chili sauce and grape jelly, but mostly on the the amount of wine consumed.
