Sorry Dick, I hit the wrong 'Respond'. Richard, or anyone else who'd like to comment, I finally finished reading The Visual Investor where Murphy too sugg. using weekly ADX to confirm trend. So last night I tried to set up an exploration using weekly data for ADX(14)>30 only, and selected "weekly" in the periodicity in the options menu. There were 60 stocks, none were eliminated. Seemed wierd to me, and instead of opening all 60 charts to verify, I changed the parameter to <30, and I got the exact same results. I tried multiplying 14x5=70, which didn't work either. I just wanted to get a list of stocks in an uptrend that I could either explore more specifically, or run some system tests on them. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, chris
