I don't believe for a second that the world human population will go to zero (unless there is some sort of global catastrophe). More likely, human population will revert to a more natural size where eventually deaths and births will come into some sort of balance.

Yes, our current economic system depends on growth of everything, including births. But, as you have pointed out repeatedly, everything reverts to the mean. This return may not be easy, but smart money says it will happen...
