I'm very discouraged right now, too. GWB, at least, had his party behind him, and Trump doesn't. The Omnibus Bill was very telling.

The Omnibus bill showed that McConnel was a total failure. He got more Democrat votes than Republican. That's not normal, and not (IMO) to be read as a new pattern of things to come.

I gave up 2nd guessing Mr Trump and won't start now. He usually wins.
