We agree that Democrats did most of the heavy lifting to give us balanced budgets but then you went off into la-la land again.

Deregulation of the telecoms came in the last 90s after the budgets were balanced so it did not help us with reducing the deficits. As you may know, the telecoms lost 10x more money than all the dot.coms so we had a telecom bubble, not a dot.com bubble. Dot.coms collapsed at the same rate as other businesses. It's sad that the telecoms which were deregulated and did collapse are not blamed for the bubble that was created.

When airlines were deregulated the airline industry lost more money than it created since it was created (granted it hadn't been that long since Americans started flying). The telecoms caused another massive collapse and of course deregulating the banking industry (in part) caused the Great Recession. Every time we've deregulated an industry it's collapsed and in most cases, it takes a very long time to recover.

Regarding socialism. I have no idea what you're talking about. You know I supported Hillary Clinton and she had the lowest deficits of any of the three candidates. Sanders and Trump changed their plans and were in constant competition to see who could be more socialist. Trump is giving us trillion deficits. If Sanders were elected NO ONE would accept it. Since a republican is doing it, everyone accepts it.
