So are earnings out yet?
I think Steve is right that record earnings can and will just be a
slight increase over past performance. And these guys dont have a
great steady revenue stream that I know of, each quarter depends
on new and hard won sales to buoy the bottom line.

Interesting experience two weeks ago: I visited the National
Renewable Energy Lab in Denver with my top management. I was
hoping to guide my organization into a large scale solar and or wind
energy project to power a large astronomy project that may happen
in northern Chile. This solar project might have been in the 5 to 15
million $ range. NREL is a lab under DOE, pretty well funded,
advocates of renewable energy. Well leaving out the details my
top brass has abandoned the idea of any solar energy work at all
but is very interested in a 2 or 3 megawatt windmill project to help
power the site. The economics and technology of large megawatt
level solar are simply terrible while wind looks pretty good. Nobody
at NREL really expects that to change in the next 5 to 10 years.

But that isnt new news and the markets for distributed, remote solar
power are growing. I just hope the pcom guys keep making the
sales.

Look at www.nrel.gov for a nice industry overview.
