Since I learned to read fiction was of no interest. Instead I preferred reading writings on or by Religions, Political systems, Business, Science or views of Great historical Philosophers who's words still ring true.

Your comment "conclusion unsure" brought to mind some thing I had read written centuries ago. History has proven the words to be true time and time again.

In this day and age it is happening before our very eyes in the USA. Promoting of do good politically correct, destructive rhetoric by politicians who preach equality for all.

Stirring the emotions of the masses who do not have the ambition to even try. But would rather exploit and freeload on funds of those who have excelled.

With Debt being 106% of GDP the country is approaching a precarious financial position. Closing fast on the point of no return.

The general population is for the most part oblivious to the situation. Like a young promiscuous girl believing getting pregnant could never happen to her.

America is not immune to future financial distress. To avoid such, Like any serious ailment it must be addressed or it will eventually cause it's demise.

Aristotle 384 BC Stated, there are four “causes”, or qualities, of any thing in existence:

1) Material cause, what the subject is made of;

2) Formal cause, or the arrangement of the subject’s material;

3)Effective cause, the creator or manager;

4) the purpose for which it exists. (home country for generations of down line)

Aristotle argued there is a hierarchy to all life in the Universe;

Nature provides thing necessary for existence.

In the same way, one animal has charge over another animal. Likewise it is with plants and animals together. So to be it with humans and all things.

It is called “ladder of life” which has rungs, at different elevations. Certain qualities, abilities or intellects are relegated to different level rungs.

Changing this natural order causes instability, anarchy and collapse from within.

Chinese philosopher Xunzi, from a similar time frame, a follower of Confucius also spoke to it;

When society has proper division of labor on the basis of the peoples realized abilities, and when people dutifully perform their respective roles, they should be rewarded accordingly. This is proportional equality. Xunzi called such an ideal society one of zhi ping
In the context in which Xunzi used the term, zhi ping means utmost equality.
In support of his own view, Xunzi quoted from the Book of History.

John Knoblock translated it as:

There is equality only insofar as they are not equal. Another possible interpretation of this phrase is that “pure equality is not equality.”

Pure equality or absolute equality, as treating people as numerical equals in divisions of labor and distribution of rewards regardless of their varied abilities and contributions, is not real equality in Xunzi's sense of fairness and justice.
Any form of equality always comes with some form of inequality. Conversely, only when there are inequalities in some ways can there be equality in another way. Xunzi recognized this inevitability.
It is Newtons third law. In all things For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Proportional equality applies mainly to three dimensions in society, namely economic, moral, and political. Proportional equality is realized in economic rewards to people in accordance with their due.

As Xunzi said, in such a system "people are unequal yet equivalent, bent yet obedient, not the same yet uniform ” Equality is implied in a form of inequality. Parity of all is not a true or sustainable reality.

The US is now at the top of world leadership. The job is trying to maintain that position. To do so the US must not lose manufacturing facilities.
The problem is costs as compared to most other industrialized countries. Workforce pay rates & standards of living in the Western world are high. So the products they produce are expensive. This limits where they can be marketed. Unaffordable in many countries.

Trump is trying to salvage some thing . Will it be to late ? +~- Arm chair analysts criticize but never seem to step up to the plate with any valuable solutions.

Mean while, China on the sidelines patiently working to assume the role. I would suggest what is progressing is the Natural Revolving Evolution of societies.
