You're all leaving one big thing out of the discussion! NRID is no longer a fingerprint recognition company. If you've read their recent press releases they don't even mention fingerprints. They are now a BIOMETRIC authentication company. They are selling themselves strictly as a software vendor for biometric authentication middleware, which puts them in a good position no matter which biometric tech leads the industry. I think this is a great move!

They have already demonstrated their HAAPI compliant SAF middleware product (which is changing its name to BAF, Biometric Authentication Facility) with other fingerprint algorithms (Veridicom), voice recognition, and face recognition. What they sell is the BAF product with your choice of vendor module for any type of recognition.

If things go the way they are, NRID will not be competing with fingerprint recognition companies. They will be one level up on the food chain.
